Also, transshipment containers recorded an increase of 16.16%, reaching 300,990 containers, compared to 259,108 containers in November 2022, which works to increase the competitiveness of the Authority’s port services, in accordance with the highest international standards, and is in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services by consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a A global logistics center and the meeting point of three continents. The volumes of general cargo amounted to 891,980 tons, solid bulk cargo amounted to 3,494,161 tons, and liquid bulk cargo amounted to 11,205,789 tons, while the ports recorded an unloading rate of 754,124 heads of livestock, an increase of 159.00%, compared to 291,169 heads of livestock in the same period in 2022 AD. Also, the Authority’s ports received 78,264 passengers, an increase of 6.30% compared to the corresponding month in 2022, which recorded 73,627 passengers, while the ports received 82,649 cars, a decrease of 0.84% ​​compared to 83,352 cars, in the same period of the previous year, while maritime traffic increased. By 2.11%, with about 1,016 ships, compared to 995 ships, in November 2022. Tonnages handled witnessed a decrease of 6.13%, reaching 23,717,049 tons of goods, compared to 25,265,615 tons in the corresponding period of 2022. Tonnages of foodstuffs during the month of November 2023 also witnessed a decrease of 33.07%, reaching 1,268,832 tons, compared to 1,895,765 tons in November For the year 2022 AD.
